2nd Vice COMMANDER
Dean Cain serves as the 2nd Vice Commander of American Legion Post 262 in Fontana, California. A dedicated veteran and community leader, he plays a pivotal role in supporting the Post's mission to provide essential services and advocacy for local veterans.
A United States Marine Corps Corporal with 5 years of service, he served as a Legal Chief and Military Police Officer. He completed a tour of duty to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from Sep 2007 to Apr 2008 being deployed in various regions within the Al Anbar Province. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his actions while in Iraq.
After serving with the Marines, Dean worked for the city of Los Angeles for 10 where he brings a wealth of experience to his leadership position. He focuses on program development and community outreach. His commitment to the values of the American Legion—service, honor, and patriotism—drives his efforts to strengthen the bond between veterans and the community.
Dean is a very caring, single man, with no children, who looks after his widowed mother whose husband was a Vietnam Veteran serving as a Navy Corpsman.
In his capacity as 2nd Vice Commander, Dean works tirelessly to ensure that the needs of veterans are met with respect and efficiency. He is deeply involved in organizing local events and initiatives that honor those who have served, fostering an environment of camaraderie and mutual support. Dean’s leadership continue to inspire fellow members and serve as a cornerstone for the ongoing success of Post 262.
